Vitamin L

Love is workable when a little is applied like a vitamin. That's why she cancelled our date, I had to spend a miserable night alone last night. But the expectation to have date at night kept me conscious a lot to myself during the day yesterday. I feel rejuvenated thanks to that. That's why I call love a vitamin L. 

Old , elder, eldest

I have two girl friends. One is one year older than I and the other is one year younger than I. For those who don't feel distinction among 47, 46, 45, this blog entry is irrelevant. But that matters a lot especially to me.

A woman one year older than I is kinder, nicer, more dedicated, more self-restraint, more sacrificial. She takes care of me more than I can expect her to do.

On the other hand, a woman one year younger than I is meaner, less dedicated, more selfish, more capricious,  less sacrificial to me. She takes care of herself before she does something for my sake.

I love senior woman. We are all old and among older ones I choose oldest.  

 

Friendship Visit

Ah my friend dropped in at the last moment before leaving Japan. Temporarily he was in Osaka for about a month.

He's leaving Japan for the Philippines for good. Of course it's gonna be very difficult for both of us to see one another.

But I was very lucky for he visited us. He's leaving Japan from Osaka on 25nd of September.

Nice friend makes our pleasure double and our sadness a half. 

Anyway, see you on line. By the way, I became old.

Liquor & Love

I found an interesting phrase while I was walking downtown on the street. The name of the restaurant was ' Those who only use their jaw' which means 'talker restlessly without serious thinking'.

Liquor gives us freedom Love robs freedom of us.Virtually no meaning at all, though I admit it's an interesting expression.

Crime's advertising effect

Crimes are heinous act, but also it is true that by the crimes some unknown company becomes well known. The name of companies appears in news, newspaper for free and repeatedly.  This is the only positive side in the negative incidents.

We miss someone

When someone is in presence, though we accept overall him, we tend to find fault with him. Instead if he is in absence, we miss him. What we recall is only all his good things.

Hostess & a writer

Last night I took two pictures of her in a food stall called yatai. The third picture was taken 3 years and 4 months ago in Karaoke bar .

Actually I met her for the first time in 3 year 4 month.

I got different impression from 3 years ago. 3 years ago she was just like a young mischievous girl. But the one last night I saw was just a very graceful lady.

I proposed her to go out with me under the premier of marriage.  She accepted and our relationship started.

She is a hostess in Nakasu, a nationally famous red district. She's 45 year old.

The one beside her is a strange person according to her.

   

 

Land ownership and the concept of figures

For those who take it for granted that the land they live belong to no one, it would not be acceptable for them the idea of land ownership.

They would have gladly accept three thalers in exchange for the land they live and see in front of them. For them three means simply a lot and the land means just nothing.

They didn't expect themselves to be expelled from the land after exchange was made.     

Double standard

If murderer is rich, the defence lawyer defends him in view of his mental incompetence.

 

If murderers are poor, the defence lawyer defends him describing how his childhood was miserable. 

 

Nature of sexual desire

When desire is satisfied, we lose sight of what the nature of sexual desire is.

Someone who asks what he was asked

Recently I noticed some politician never express his idea. Instead of replying directly, he asks his interviewers what he was asked by them like 'How do you think about that?

Then we have to reply to our questions. We are always perplexed by his ridiculous counter-question.

We were not supposed to ask those who ask back. They are not deserved to be authorities.  Small fish never be able to reply, what they can do is just 'ask'.

But he is a politician, that is a problem.

Charm

If I were asked whether I like younger or older women, I would reply that I like older women. Older ones have charms younger ones don't have.

Crystallisation of love

On the last Sunday I went to realtor's office to find a room for a daughter of my girlfriend. She's 47 years old and a very woman of the photos in my site above. Her daughter's 18 years old and working already.
 
Her daughter's going to move to the new room on 25th of September.

From living together to marriage, our marriage got closer.

Marriage & religion

In some religion a believer has to find a spouse in the same believers.  That makes easier to find a spouse. But once they got married they have to keep on follow the same way of life according to the religion. If one abandoned the belief, the two has to separate.

It seems true marriage lies in different place than religion.

Son of man

Jesus... he was a son of Josef and Mary so naturally he was a son of man. And he described himself as a son of man many times, he didn't say he is a son of God even one time. If I remember correctly he was asked by Pilate whether he is a son of God, he said just 'as you said so' . This is a form of negation.
Christianity was started by people who believed Jesus is a son of God.
At that time the title son of God was used to refer to Octavianus, Emperor of Rome.
Actually a son of God is as good as the alternate name for king.

But if you think the title son of man is a humble expression, you are misled.

Is any ordinary person claim on purpose he is a son of man?

What Jesus wanted to connote was that he was originally a son of God but he was born from human parents.

Thus a son of man is more glorious than a son of God in meaning.

Dementia

Concept of figures

One of uncivilised people used to count the number as 1, 2, many. For them three and one hundred didn't make difference. They would have agreed to exchange three silver coins and almost unlimited land.

We ordinary people grasp the numbers of one to nine in each different figures. But one genius can grasp the number in each different shapes, and he can calculate answer by multiplication done by their shapes. So he can automatically calculate like 78623 X 1984778 by forming two figures together.

I assume some might be almighty.

Mono culture

Monopoly or oligarchy in economy is so common. How about monarchy?  United Kingdom & Japan's political system are constitutional monarchy. How about monotheism? Overwhelming people around the world are believers of monotheistic religions. How about monogamy? Monogamy is only allowed form of marriage in Western civilisations.  Virtually one party - Liberal Democrats has been ruling Japan's politics for half a century. The influence of one language has been expanding a lot.

Privilege

Religious people often say 'it's our privilege to serve our God'. So I asked him if the use of the word 'privilege' is strange. After a second he replied, saying ' actually it's not a privilege, because nothing gain from it.

Religion and tolerance

I think most important teaching in religion is being tolerant.Yet I found religious people are not tolerant.
They only accept the world according as they believe in.

They try to exclude other than what they believe.I want religious people to know what the essence of religion is.

Labour cost in China is much cheaper than Japan. Japan's company has them do many manual jobs. American products are more excellent than Japan's product. More and more people are inclined to start using American products.

Japan as a country has already disappeared. Although it might take some time for people to realise it.

Nothing more heinous than the crimes committed by those who ought to control crimes. They ought to be punished more severely. Because they not only damaged people or property but directly gained profits from them.

Today I noticed leg-ins are a part of undies. Probably she's eager to show her undies to attract men, but in reality of course she can't. Instead she makes her desire satisfied by showing her leg-ins, which is a extension of her undies.

My wife and I went out to watch the movie. We were watching Taxi 4. That's a Luc Besson film. In my understanding he was a good director who is good at making an interesting film.

Cohabitant Trouble

One of my relatives came to my house and keep on staying for a couple of months, without working. She said she can't work because of illness.

No. You can't work. That's your illness.

Raison D'etre

Wicked people find their raison d'etre to be wicked, and ordinary people find their raison d'etre to be ordinary.

Therefore they never cross. The wicked keep on doing harm on ordinary citizen.

In Japan unfortunately the real power is firmly gripped by bureaucrats.

Bible harmonises because not harmonised parts were excluded from Bible.

Baptism by fire

It occurs to me baptism might correspond to destruction by God. Baptism by water corresponds to Deluge and baptism by fire might correspond to Armageddon.

Literal translation

Literal translation doesn't work.

English term 'Good morning' is literally means 'yoi -good, asa -morning'
But nobody here understand if someone say 'yoi asa', which literally means 'good morning'

Instead we use the term 'Ohayo' which literally means 'It's early'
But nobody in America would understand if one of them said 'It's early' instead of saying 'Good morning'

Translation requires meaning to meaning, not word to word.

I feel it's derisive when someone insist some translation is accurate because it's word to word.

True Superstition

20 years ago in America.

One very old woman told me someone who opens umbrella in a room will be suffered from unhappiness for three years and it's true.

True superstition?

She must have wanted to say that the superstition is true. Not the contents of the superstition is. 

The truth about Asashoryu

Asashoryu is a Mongolian Sumo wrestler who got a highest title.

He was absent from one trivial series and Sumo association accused him of not attending the series, prohibiting his playing two important series.

He was reported as mentally ill, and this is said to be the absence from the trivial series.
This is not true. He is completely sane.
What makes him nervous was the decision of Sumo association that prohibited his playing two consecutive series. It was Sumo association that made him sick.

Angel of light

In two different parts of Japan -Oga peninsula and Yokohama, the scene of unidentified flying object was video-recorded. One recorded in Oga peninsula was like a rolling sphere of light, and the other taken in Yokohama was like a stingray swimming in the sky and the size of the shape changed one to five times bigger. I recall the shape of Seraph's flying.

Pleasure Boat

On the last Sunday I went to one university where test for social insurance solicitor took place with a friend who took this teat.
We arrived at 8:30 in the morning. She's going to take this test until 16:40, so I needed to kill time until then. I went to the famous Wajiro lagoon near the university. I walked and walked along with the lagoon under the extremely strong sunshine. I was the only who dared to do under such a extreme sunshine. I got tanned very much.
I was the only one on the land side, but on the bay there're three pleasure boats that were playing ski on the water. Some of a young girl wearing bikini shouting very loud, which was of course seemed very fun.
It takes nothing to walk along with the beach. It takes a lot of money to play on the water. I felt envious, to tell the truth.
Back in my home, I learned one of the people who were playing ski on the water accidentally drowned to death. He was drunk and dropped from the pleasure boat accidentally when someone cut the direction sharp.
The news report revealing that he was a member of self defence force.

Total eclipse

One of my friends let me know that we had a total eclipse for a couple of hours. It was till 20:30. I was unable to observe though. I thought it symbolises his leaving from our sight soon.

Famous last word

Tonight we had a farewell party for one of our colleagues who came here a year ago for exchange scholar from the Philippines. He's about to leave here soon.
'This is the beginning of our true friendship.' This word came to be my famous last word to him.
Men and women are physical relationship. The relationship is likely to cease when they leave. Between men and men are of course spiritual relationship. Spiritual relationship will start strengthening itself as they left.

Death Toll

Hitler sent Jews to death camp, eliminating 6 million. The same number of Germans were killed at the end of war.

Hitler eliminated 10 million Russians. The same number of Russians were killed by their leader Stalin.

Japanese troops are said to kill 10 million Chinese. 2 million Japanese people were killed at war.

In battle of Okinawa, 200 thousand people were dead in 80 days. In Nanking Massacre, 300 thousand people were killed in 42 days.

In atomic bomb, roughly 70 thousand people were dead in each two cities instantly. About 100 thousand people were dead in Tokyo incendiary air strike at one night.

Crime doesn't pay, let alone war.

Hirota & Hitler, one common point

Hirota was the only civilian politician among 7 executed war criminals in Far East War Tribunal held after the WWII. Other 6 were all military commanders.

This tribunal was held under over lawful considerations. Under the Constitution at that time Emperor was the supreme commander of all military forces and adminislative body couldn't possibly interfere any decision military forces determined. Military was where no political power could reach. Hirota, prime minister in time of war was not guilty if they applied existing laws at that time to him, but he was charged and hung to death in the end.

In Germany, Ribbentrop was executed though he was a civilian politician. General Headquarters of Far East wanted to execute Matsuoka too, he was a foreign minister and civilian politician. He was dead in natural cause during the trial. Some civilian politician had to be hung in this trial at least to reinforce the justification of political forces in Allied by denying the political power in Axis countries. In my opinion, Hirota was chosen to act for this justification. Hitler was of course a civilian politician.

Cultural Revolution

In China 1960s.

Chinese leader Mao Zedong made use of two traditional very useful tactics. One is to make a scapegoat. The other is Divide and Rule. Many regional leaders made targeted as counter-revolutionary and two different sects were struggling whether they were revolutionary or counter-revolutionary.

Red Guard led the struggle and People's Liberation Army settled the conflict, or semi-civil war.

War Crimes

In Japan August is a season of war. Two atomic bombs were dropped in two cities in August. Japan surrendered in August. Besides they have usually bon festivals which celebrate the return of ancestor's souls as well as the souls of the dead at war.

Dead people are free from any discriminations they had while still they were alive. Even though executed crimes ought to be treated just as the deceased souls as ordinary citizens. War criminals are a strange word. For those who think war is nothing but a crime, war crime just sounds like capital punishment death penalty, or automobile car, submarine undersea boat.

Seven war time leaders were executed as A class war criminal in International Military Tribunal for the Far East held in Tokyo after the World War II. One out of seven was a civilian official. They were charged at their role of war in three parts, war crimes, crimes against peace, crimes against humanity.

Some insist that they ought to be payed respected in a different shrine other than one particular shrine that specifically designated for soldiers who were dead at war. Is there any meaning to discriminate even after their death?

About those who pretend to be evil

There are some people who pretend to be evil. What's their psychology?

Probably their moral standard is extremely high and they realised their behaviour cannot possibly meet their supposedly very high moral standard. Their claim is humans are so sinful and they themselves feel as if they are committing some crime. According to God's standard, humans make error. According to ordinary humans' ordinary moral standard, humans are perfect.

Cross culture

Many people believe cross means Christianity. How come it came to be a symbol of Christianity?

Jesus was believed to be crucified on the cross, that is one reason. The fish mark was used to represent Christ, and cross might be the simplified form for fish or Christ. The first Greek letter for Christ is X as the abbreviation form Xmas suggests and X became the representation for Christianity. Cross had been used to represent Seraph, or angel, cross came to represent Christ after people started believing Christ became angel after resurrection.

In Japan there's very few church and many people here don't know the relationship of cross and Christianity. For almost all people here cross is just a decoration of some design. Probably I think cross was used to indicate an important target as a bull's eye, this could have meant simply an objective of life.

Economic aspect of war

In ordinary times it's hard to decrease population drastically. People cannot kill other people in legal manners. Population tend to increase. The more population grows the harder they feed themselves. War occurs when systematic culling was necessary. At war innocent people kill one another. There's no more effective way of culling of population other than war.

Did St Paul meet Caesar?

He insisted he meet Caesar when he was talking to local authority or he asked this local ruler to make him see Caesar. But I think he didn't see Caesar. There's no direct description as to him seeing Caesar.

I believe in God

One of my best friends pointed out pointing one of the famous Bible account that is God is love. He said God is love, not God has love. That means God is a personification of love as well as wisdom, power, justice.

We must believe in God or at least we ought to.

Where is the Red Sea?

I read Exodus in New International Version and in the description of crossing the Red Sea the note says that is the Sea of Reed located at the lower Nile that has an ebb, so I understand Moses was well versed in astronomy and he made use of his knowledge and he crossed the Sea when the land appeared from above the sea.

But one of best Christian friends insisted that he as well as Jewish people crossed the Red Sea and he thinks it is well in accordance with Bible descriptions. But I think it's hard to cross the Red Sea, because it's too deep the seabed lies. Do you really think Moses really crossed the Red Sea or Sea of Reeds? Also it's too circumnavigating way to take the route across the Red Sea when Canaan is just next to lower Niles.

Defrost

Dacha in Mt Aso

I took holiday from 8th of August to 11th and I spent a couple of days in dacha, I mean second house. I must emphasise I don't have a second house,  I rent it for one night. 

Mt Aso is 1500 metre high and it was of course cool. I went there by my car via express way. 

Nice refreshing time.    

Psychology of wearing leg-ins

Psychology of wearing leg-ins is obscure. They wear a mini-skirt, they don't have to wear tights to hide their legs, yet they do probably because of shame they tend to feel when they wear the mini-skirt. This is, I think, a sign of another movement of women's lib. They are eager to wear the same cloths as man's so that they feel they all are the same as men in appearance as well as the work they usually do.   

Atomic Bomb

62 years ago today one atomic bomb was dropped under the sky of Hiroshima. 400 thousand people were terminated at one second.

Many US articles justify dropping the atomic bomb saying it accelerated the end of war and made lessen the number of casualties both in US army and Japanese nationals who were likely to resist in the event of US army landing and they also introduced the number of casualties who were dead at the time of Tokyo incendiary carpet bombing,  that is 100 thousand civilians.

Many Japanese people and newspapers accused of dropping the atomic bomb in humanity perspective. But I think it was inevitable to use the ultimate force to put an end to the war no matter how many people were victimised by this act.

I found this figure in front of the house located at the next to my girlfriend's house. This is very similar to Seraphim.

Left, in front of the gate I found those famous gatekeeper called Hoo Dog. This is so similar to Cherubim in role.

Mudflow, deluge, bridge collapse

We are alarmed by mudflow, deluge. This is not a drill. All our news are about typhoon No.5 except the news from Minnesota bridge.

Natural disasters

Only several weeks ago intermediate quake hit northern Japan. Some weeks ago one typhoon, typhoon No, 4 hit our area. Now we are under severe attack from typhoon No.5. In south Sakhalin, intermediate quake hit the area. Lots of people stay in refugee shelter. As if our country were cleansed. IAEA is coming to investigate whether nuclear power plant in northern Japan was safe on 5th of August. They will stay in the area for four days. We can't easily get out of the house.

Letter from Noah's Ark

Now typhoon hit our region. Our region is under very heavy rainfall. It will be clear tomorrow. I'm on a short trip tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.  See you on Sunday night.

Polytheistic reality in Monotheism

There are many Monotheistic faiths which hold only one God. Those feature is similar. He is absolute and omnipotent being. Ahura Mazda in Zoroastrianism, YHWH in Judaism, Lord in Christianity, Zeus in Catholicism. Are they all the same God whose names only differ or are they all different Gods who claim to be only one God?

Repent, the end is nigh

A 75-year old man was arrested for asking two people to kill his third son, who was killed at 26-year old five years ago. He got 100 million dollars from life insurance.

His wife was at age 42 also killed in an accident inside their house 30 years ago. She was fallen from staircase. He got 8 million dollars at that time from life insurance. Whether she was killed by him wasn't questioned.

In his garden I saw a statue of St Maria. Did he place it in memory of his love to his wife or a remorse he had by a crime over his wife.

Repent, the end is nigh is a phrase for those who committed some crime, for ordinary people repentance doesn't exist anywhere. St Maria might be his confession of his crime in his inner voice.

Heat Wave

Our archipelagos was hit by extremely hot weather 34c highest these two days and nights. Due to this, my computer showed some malfunction and I was unable to open it a couple of hours. Now heat wave's gone. My computer was unhurt.

Korean Hostages

Out of 23 Korean hostages held by Taliban, one was killed. He was a pastor. I understand Taliban are a group of religious teachers. Do teaches kill a pastor? It's hard to understand.

Marriage of Inconvenience

This marriage was suspiciously made between homosexuals. But not between same sex but different sex. This marriage was made between a man who likes a man and a woman who likes a woman. The woman was a famous figure so I guess she needed to hide her sexual preference from the eyes of general public.

What she didn't realise was what her husband said soon after they got married. He revealed simply that he is gay.

Crime and No Punishment

Aren't people who just followed the order of state power and committed some serious crimes guilty after the state lost its political power?

American Army contributed 96 air conditioners to refugee camps in Niigata earthquake occurred some one week ago.

One nuclear power plant there decided to accept IAEA's investigation, not inspection some time after IAEA offered.

Ten Minutes Supper

We usually have a regular meeting of English circle on Tuesday from 8 pm to 9 pm. I finish working in 7 pm and I need to move, so usually I have no time to eat supper before the meeting. But today I had some time to eat supper, the time was limited though. It was only ten minutes. But ten minutes was enough for me to finish having supper, so I felt strange when one of our members said it's very short.

The Super Special Price

We are going to talk about the same product. Amongst many 300 yen items I found also as many 1029 yen goods as well. The tag of price card says super special price both in the price card of 300 yen and 1029 yen.

300 yen is slightly cheaper than usual, 1029 yen is really expensive. The tag of the price cards were both super special price. I laughed at them. Needless to say, 1029 yen was error.

The Gatekeeper

There are tens of thousands of shrines in which you know two gatekeepers are guarding in front of the entrance. Those figureheads are called Komainu - dog of foreign origin. Their head is similar to lion's and the body ordinary dog. Those figureheads were so common in ancient Babylonia, Persia, etc. I know the gate of the Garden of Eden was protected by two cherubim so I wonder cherubim must have something to do with Japan's Komainu.

By the way I encountered some article that says the Garden of Eden stands for a womb. Certainly Bible says they can't back to the garden once they left there. In this article that says the cherubim represent unborn babies who were killed before their birth for some reason, usually economic one.

Related to this but not directly though are the origin of cross. Jesus was crucified but the fact does not automatically deduce as to why cross has been used as a symbol of Christianity for a long time. So when I encountered the article that suggests the similarity of the brazen serpent and Seraphim, I thought this must have something to do with cross. I had half a mind that cross must have represented the ascension of Jesus. Jesus was born as human and he later must have resurrected in spirit. My conclusion is cherubim, seraphim are representing spirits after death. Cross must be representing humans with wings, hoping to ascend. 

Back again gatekeepers. We sometimes pay respect to shrines. This practice is so common in Japan. If inside the gate represents the Garden of Eden, the shrine must be playing the similar role. Inside the shrine is called 'sanctuary' as a matter of fact. We weren't caught in the gate. We weren't a gatekeeper yet.

What Makes Punishment Less Severe?

Some criminals regret his committing crimes and report himself to the authority. Usually it has been taken for granted according to the precedents that their punishment would be alleviated. But I heard some judge saying those who confess their crimes willingly are more likely to get more severe punishment because they revealed their crimes in the hope of their punishment's being less severe. This is indeed very strange. Though every case should be considered depending on many surrounding situations, it's questionable I read the case that the one who report himself is liable to get capital punishment, and the other who were just caught by police are merely indicted in life imprisonment. Besides I remember the judge added the reason that the one who confessed willingly betrayed his organisation, which also weighed his punishment.   

What is 'Truth'?

Truth includes things that have already verified.
Truth doesn't include things that have not verified yet.
Does truth include things that cannot verify? Some people insist that 'God is almighty, it's truth.'

Interpretation of Mother complex

My assumption was basically as follows.

Men are once in his mother's womb and in there all nutrients were served through umbilical cord. I must say men are passive in a womb. Men who prefer a hip must have a strong yearning to the state in a womb. His interest is inward, he is not trying to find a partner but satisfy in protection.

Once he came out of his mother he had to feed himself by trying to suck his mother's bosom. This is an active action. He just started to learn he has to do something to feed himself. This is the very first step to socialisation.

If still mother's influence strongly sheds light on his life, he must be a hip lover. Or those who prefer hip rather than nipple must be still under his mother's control -that is so called a mother-complex.

The Meaning of 'God is Almighty'

 

Have you ever thought about the meaning of God is almighty?

If God is almighty, he can be outside the universe or inside, can be omnipresence or somewhere, he can banish himself so he can be nowhere at the same time. He can live forever and even be dead. Of course later he can resurrect himself. He can even bo back to the past.

God is almighty and God is omnipresence, both are different in expression, but in reality the former includes the latter in notion.

Is there any omnipotent being? That is the eternal theme humans keep on raising. Omnipotent being can banish himself. Under the notion of Almighty God even atheism becomes just one phenomenon of theism.

Bosoms lover? or hip lover?

 

I have heard that a man who is obsessively affectionate to women's hip is likely to be suffered from mother complex, who loves his mother in unconsciousness.

How about the cases of a man who loves particularly bosoms? Womb is where he used to stay before his birth. In this case he was formed a part of his mother. Instead bosoms are where he had been nourished after he was separated from his mother. It is natural to love bosoms because they are where he was able to acquire his first food. Until a few days ago I had taken it for granted for a long time that Nietzsche denied the existence of God by declaring Gott ist tot or God is dead. But if God were almighty, he could resurrect himself. If Jesus were God before he arrives on the Earth, he or God experienced human's inevitable destiny through the crucification.

If so, the real meaning of Gott ist tot is different from what I thought. God experienced death because he wanted to give his best creature, that is all humans, an eternal life in Eucharist and wanted to share the same suffering all humans once had to experience, that is death -sharing in other words, Communion.

So real meaning of Gott ist tot is God experienced death through which he was able to give us an eternal life and also share the same suffering. The real meaning of faith was giving and sharing.

God is dead was an ultimate expression of God cares for you.

Someone who claims something is danger more than 5 times in ten minutes talk is the very danger itself from the viewpoint of something.

Number of Kids

One, two, three...

Two is worst. One elder often kills the younger one. Example; Romulus & Remus, Abel & Cain. Yoritomo & Yoshitsune, Hamlet, and many more.

Reincarnation& Resurrection

 

Some Christian firmly believe they will be resurrected.

Reincarnation is as a thought based on the immortality of souls, but we can't be so certain as far as we can't confirm the souls are immortal.

Resurrection, on the other hand, has nothing to do with this immortality. We can't deny resurrection, we can say we can realise resurrection as the ultimate form of our scientific achievement. Those who wish their resurrection had better try to make the most of their life at present. This is one of the rarest opportunity they live.

In the end resurrection will take place, but it takes time. It will definitely take place by the end of time.

Is Love Everything?

Recently I've been thinking that love might be everything. I am very deeply involved in love with one woman. Her dedication to me has been just tremendous, so I now feel very happy. The only problem I have is she doesn't understand English. Preferably I want to talk to my girlfriend in English. But I am very happy, because she has been giving me pleasure at its most. Love might not continue forever, but if I'm now very happy, what else should I ask?

Jerome's Interpretation

As to 1 Corinthians 7 verse 1 - 2

St. Jerome explained in his On Marriage and Virginity, From Letter XXII to Eustochium and from the treatise Against Jovinian, “If it is good not to touch a woman, it is bad to touch one, for there is no opposite of goodness but badness”.

My NIV Bible says in 1 Corinthians 7 '1Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry ( or have sexual relations with a woman ). 2But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.'

I understand Jerome's translation as ' ..for there's virtue but no vice in it.' If it is good not to touch a woman, it is bad to touch one, but in reality it is good to touch a woman, so it is not bad. Because there's only virtue in having sex, but no vice in it.

Why Apocrypha was Apocrypha? II

The Wisdom of Ben Sira was written 180 to 175 and canonised in Catholic and Orthodox, but not in Protestant. Therefore we can read it in Septuagint, Vulgate. The reason this was taken out of canon in Protestant was probably judging from its contents. They are regarded as a copy of Proverbs.

Maccabees were written in 100 BC and those Hebrew texts were lost.

The rest of Daniel& Esther might be added later. Not found in Hebrew canon.

Book of Baruch is not found in Hebrew Bible but found both in Sepuagint and Vulgate.

Book of Tobit is not found in Hebrew Bible but found both in Septuagint and Vulgate. Therefore this book is canonised in Catholic and Orthodox Churches. This book was probably written in 2 century BC. But the contents were about 8 century BC.

Book of Judith is dominant in historical anachronism. This book is considered as a religious novel. Therefore excluded from Protestant canon.

Wisdom of Solomon was written in 2nd century BC. No Hebrew texts are found. Platonism & Stoicism can be read and we can find allusions to Gospel of Matthew. Found in Septuagint.

Prayer of Manasseh is apocryphal by all denominations. Found in Septuagint.

Esdras was written 1st century BC to 1st century AD. Canonised only in Eastern Orthodox Church.

Typical characters Apocrypha have are Not found in Hebrew canon. Written between 2nd to 1st century BC. Found in Septuagint, Vulgate. Reformation was a restoration to Jewish tradition. There was a reason for it.

Why Apocrypha was Apocrypha?

Apocrypha refers to the collection of books written between the end of Old Testament around 500 BC and the beginning of the New Testament around 50 AD. Basically the Old Testament is a record between 1300 BC to 500 BC and the New Testament between 50 AD to 100 AD. Apocrypha covers those missing links between two testaments.

During that period, Jewish cultures were on the verge of extinction. Overall Hellenisation was on the process in those Levant area. Antiochus (reigned 175 -163) was probably sarcastically called Epiphanes and went too far to proceed this movement. But many important books were written, those include

Those Apocrypha books were included in Catholic Canon but excluded from Protestant Bible in the Reformation in 16c.

My assumption why Apocrypha was excluded is probably because Protestant needed to establish authority against Roman Catholic and Greed Orthodox Churches. Jewish states were reigned by Ptolemaic (323 to 198) and Selucid (198 to 166). Jewish state enjoyed its independence from 142 to 63 after the Maccabean revolt in 167 and following struggle that lasted till 142. Protestant didn't like to follow Roman and Greek authority in Church, so they went too far to hide those scriptures written during that period.

Apocrypha is just hidden, God reveals as Epiphanes.

Creation? or Evolution?

Missing link is a hypothesis there might have existed the pre humans that connect apes to modern humans. The reason of this claim is as follows. Although we can find many species closer to each other in the case of other animals, we can't find a closer species to modern humans. So assumption here is we must have had pre humans that were much closer to modern humans but we haven't found them -that is called ' missing link'. And the archaeological evidence that proves the existence of pre humans are not found yet. Missing link is used somehow to explain human's unique existence from other species. Missing link is supportive to creationist' s insistence.

Even if some result proves man's existence merely dated back to 6000 years ago, that doesn't tell anything whether humans existed before 6000 years ago.

Evolution was led from many scientific experiments and partly from archaeological evidence, but not entirely from artifacts. Lack of evidence in artifacts has nothing to do with the support of any theories.

So whatever the reason some believe a man was created by God around 6000 years ago.

But I believe 4.57 billion years ago the Earth was born and 3.7 billion years ago life on Earth started. 200,000 years ago current humans were born. 6000 years ago human civilisation started.

As to the reply to your question, yes, I think so. Our species were originated from a common human ancestor that appeared in some part of Africa 200,000 years ago. The number of our ancestors was considerably fewer than now.

Creation? or Evolution? That's an obsolete dichotomy. It is unknown whether life was born by itself or created by God. But life evolves. If you are a creationist, you can say ' humans are a form of life that were brought by God on the Earth some 3.7 billion years ago.' If you are an evolutionist, you can say ' humans are a form of life that were born on the Earth some 3.7 billion years ago. ' Life evolves, but nobody knows the origin of life was spontaneously appeared or brought by some intelligent Being with intention.

Incest was not taboo

Incest was forbidden because it was the easiest way for mating. Probably before civilisation, many humans kept on practicing this for too many years. Incest became taboo mainly from economic reasons. Suppose if we got married to one of our parents, we can inherit their property. But remember we can automatically inherit their property because we are their child, so we don't have to get married to them in order only to inherit their property.

If we got married to a person from other family, we can inherit property that belongs to other family. From the same reason even if we got married to one of siblings, we find no economical merit on this since our siblings merely inherit a part of our parents' property. That's why we are always encouraged to get married to a person from other family that owns more property than us anyway.

Prostitution

I thought about why prostitution is prohibited legally here. Because it is the easiest way to get money, everyone would be trying to do this job if it is permitted by law. That must be destroying the country's economy. Because so many people will be engaged in this job, few can work in more productive field.

Battle of conscience

In the end it's the patient's freedom to see a doctor who honors his direction or change a doctor who ignores his wish. Of course he can choose not to go to see a doctor in the first place or in the end. A doctor can merely suggest a better way to take but he can't force his patients to undergo his way.

Respectable believers won't sue any doctor even if he did what his patients feel detested. But once lawsuits were held, the doctors won't win. He needs to pay compensation for the psychological loss of the patients. But the amount of compensation might be significantly lower in comparison with the benefit the doctor brought. In short, lawsuits are counterproductive and less beneficial. What was important was not keep away from blood itself, but what he did to avoid them. His conscience won't question himself if he did best what he could before his conscience.

For example, as to blood transfusion, products. It's better for him to emphasise the sacredness of blood rather than the risks blood has. Medically speaking, blood products or transfusion has more risks than other treatment. However probably Moses prohibited it from the health risks blood has. First successful blood transfusion was reported after blood type was found in 18c and blood products are a result of modern medicine. Moses won't prohibit the use of blood in medical purpose for this health reason if now.

Usually people without faith are eager to live just longer, but people like you don't want to live against your faith, instead want to live well in accordance with God's will. Society, doctors ought to respect the patient's wish first. The most important thing is the doctor won't be under inquisition for the allegation of euthanasia even if it involved the cases of life and death. Because he did his best to save the life of patients within a range all he allowed to do.

Euthanasia often take places in hospice and it's not illegal these days when the patients themselves wished firmly. Even if the cases that involve the vegetable man, who has lost his consciousness and just live through the life maintenance apparatus. If the patient's family wished to take away the apparatus, some doctors do with this consent. This medical act is not publicly admitted yet, but it has been held these days under the tacit consent with society, law enforcement.

Refusal to transfusion ought to be understood in line with this current movement in society. The happiness of the individuals ought to be determined by each individuals, this is not a matter people other than himself have a say.

Martyr

Religious people more or less believe in life after death though the notion varies. So they are not afraid of death, or rather they are eager to start another life after their death. Martyr is their ideal form of death. Because otherwise they can't expect another life they hope for. Some religious people are willing to welcome this way to reach death. The desire to martyr shows itself in some refusal to current medicine.
