Bible harmonises

Bible harmonises because not harmonised parts were excluded from Bible.
Bible harmonises, which is tautology.

  1. You mean all the different stories and voices all say the same thing? Like that sacrifice is and isn't required, that God does or doesn't demand death for witches, that God does or doesn't want a monarchical form of government, that mercy and kindness are or are not the main requirements for salvation, that God requires mercy or punishment for sinners, etc?

  2. The messages in the Bible can or can only be understood acc. to the depthness or none-depthness of a person´s faith. It is very personal.

We know about the parts which were excluded or banned out. What difference would it make in knowing more about testimonies and other "stories"? What is important for me is what I now deal with my own understanding of the message of God and live it.

We grow in our faith only because we keep on looking for answers. If we condemn how others have behaved or dealt with the Bible in the past, we are on the wrong track. What they did has nothing to do with our own faith.

So, I would rather say, the Bible harmonises with my own understanding and relationship to God. If it doesn´t, well, who is perfect? But, isn´t it "perfection" that we all strive for?

  3. I know the characters of God sometimes contradict themselves in Bible. But in it it says humans are made along with the image of God. The characters of humans often contradict themselves. Love and hatred, sometimes envy, construction and cruelty. Bible harmonise as long as God is the very reflection of humans. Aside from that, apparently novelistic or anachronistic parts were excluded to Apocrypha. Bible harmonises with historical events.
