WWIII

Japanese passed the bill which prohibits downloading copyrighted contents as of October, this year.

This law is dangerous because everyone can be indicted

This is still a phony war but I'm sure that the third world war has already begun in the Internet.

  1. I presume the bill prohibits downloading copyrighted content without appropriate license? Otherwise, they've effectively made accessing anything over the Internet illegal; things are copyrighted by default. (Come to think of it, there are a ton of sites which simply say "all rights reserved", and don't even explicitly grant permission for viewing the site.)

  3. I'll have to go back and listen to it again, but, yeah, it sounds messed up.

  4. It is a minor misdemeanour downloading copyrighted contents without authorisation in private use.
It is more serious crime if law enforcement authority come to my home and confiscate my personal computer and investigate what I downloaded.
This is a infringement of my privacy and their act would deter me from what I can do freely in my private life.
