Town meeting

From 18:30 to 20:10, the town meeting was held in Kokura.  More than 1,000 people gathered in a hall where 500 is a limit.  So some 200 were standing in a hall while other 300 were watching a monitor outside the hall. Town meeting was a success.  TV crews were there.

Overall majority was opposition. Their opinion was scientific and logical, and rational. They came there after they prepared a lot. The idea of Mayor Kitahashi was beside the point. He said he will decide after he considers the move of public opinion. This is a step forward. He visits Ishinomaki, where debris are located, on 10th to 11th decides whether it's necessary to bring them.
