People must be busy spending their holiday. I can't hear from many.
I myself will take a rest a while in our Golden week season from 26th of April to 6th of May though I only take three consecutive holidays from 4 to 6 of May.
It is better to take a rest in this spring season. We tend to make a trivial mistake when it gets warmer in this season.

I don't work, so I don't have holidays - I was just generally busy. :-)
ReplyDeleteEaster was 3 weeks ago here and also in most of Europe although it's later in the Orthodox church (Greece).
What is Golden Week?
ReplyDeleteFrom the end of April to the beginning of May we have four different holidays at a time. Adding Saturday, Sunday and paid holiday workers chose, we usually take a rest about a week.
ReplyDeleteThis is called ' Golden week' and I though its counterpart in the West is Easter holiday.
Probably 'resurrection' itself has nothing to do with the early spring, but aside from the religious meaning of Easter I think it is natural for us to take a rest in this season.
14 Nisan falls on 22nd of March this year, so yeah Easter started three weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteActually, the Christian Easter doesn't follow the Jewish calendar. In Denmark, Easter Sunday falls on "first Sunday after the first full moon after vernal equinox". Since the full moon was on equinox, a Friday, this year, Easter Sunday was March 23rd.
ReplyDeleteNorthern Europe agrees on the date (and India which follows Britain); I'm not sure how many besides. I remember being in Greece one spring, and their Easter was on another date.
