The case of Los Angeles gunshot incident
US court said he was already not guilty because one incident is not argued more than once, but as to conspiracy he would not be charged by this so he ought to be judged in the US. They said arrest is just.
I think US can judge him in murder, or first degree manslaughter. Is US forgetting both US and Japan are different country? US court is acting as if Japan is a part of US even in judicial system. Though I can't deny Japan is already much involved in US political and economic system.
Lay economy
September is a rainy month, but this year it continued to be fine throughout the month.
It's rainy today. One acquaintance is working in a factory, then he said he was forced to have three days off only in this month. 5,000 dispatched automobile workers have been fired. All because of the current recession.
Current perfect unemployment rate is 4.2%, effective recruitment index is -0.86.
Collapse of Lehman Brothers, sub prime loan..economic turmoils in the US are almost inexplicable.
It's rainy outside because a huge typhoon is near. I can't go out though I took a paid off today

A woman who bought a coffee for me
It was already ten years ago. I dropped by a shop. The shop was a customer for our company. One Korean girl was working there. She was a foreign student, probably she was working there to earn money for her study in a university. I had a couple of words with her in English. It was not long, just two or three minutes. She abruptly said excuse and left the scene went outside. She brought a coffee with her for me saying hi!.
I said thank you and left there.
The cost of coffee was about a dollar, but I changed the attitude toward Koreans in general from that day.
Just a spoonful of sea water is enough to judge the taste of it.
Lost of fatherhood & the right wing thought
Tokyo governor Ishihara lost his father when he was still in the university. He started to support himself and his younger brother. Ishihara had four sons.
J.S.Bach lost his father when still he was a kid. He had three sons.
Tokyo governor is famous for his right wing thought. He had to overdevelop his conservative thought by overcompensating his dependency to his father, that was never fulfiled.
Chocolate
In a chocolate package we always see the statement as ' This chocolate is high quality so it melts in over 28 Celsius degree.' It tends to melt easier because definitely it contains more cacao butter than Hershey's and Cadbury. So we think it is high quality because it contains more cacao butter?
This is curious. Traditionally Japanese cuisines contain less oil. We hadn't eat meat of livestock such as pork, beef many years for religious reasons. But fish and chicken can be eaten. Fish that have more oil in them are regarded as high quality.
This tendency still remains in a tradition of making chocolate.
I think this statement is too far to say so, and Japanese chocolate company has got a criticism from European chocolate makers that the chocolate Japanese made is not a chocolate Europeans think.
Now we have lots of oil in our dishes. We need to mull over the way to make chocolate more.
New disease
The term E-coli or Escherichia -coli bacillus was often heard in foreign news in late 20th century, I started hearing the word o-157 in Japan's news soon after that. I hadn't realised both are the same immediately.
Mad cow disease occurred in a country first caused by prion, this disease is also known as Bovine spongeform encephalopathy, believed to be related to human disease Creutzfeldt Jacob disease. There's another disease called Hoof and mouth disease in cattles.
Bird influenza broke out first in a country and later spreaded around the globe. Sudden acute respiratory syndrome or new type influenza is thought to be a human version of bird influenza.
At least less than ten cases of Ciguatera poisoning were reported here in Japan. This poison started being found in edible fish Isaki or Grunt. Noro virus is found among rare oysters.
Beginner's Luck
It was in my late twenties when I started working in a cram school. Everyday I have needed to have many classes so naturally I had been frustrated. It was then I started to visit amusement hall, in Japan we say 'game centre'.
I have never had gambles but then I did blackjack in a game centre.
I didn't know how to do so I just tried clicking without any intention. The figure became astronomical number when I noticed. The figure became less and stable after I realised how to play.
I think it was a beginner's luck. It was a part of just a playing game. The figure didn't reflect any real money.
Giants vs Tigers
Baseball sometimes matters. Giants is a team of Tokyo and Tigers of Osaka, it is East vs West. Japanese people always boil when it comes to East vs West.
We had thought Tigers wins the pennant race. But Giants kept on winning unprecedented 13 consecutive victory.
I don't care whichever wins anyway though.
New queen of blog
She is Shoko Nakagawa. She became famous after the advent of the first queen of blog Kaori Manabe, but only very few know Shoko's father was dead at young in his twenties from bone cancer shortly after he started appearing TV show etc. He was learning in Keio University when he was in TV. He was supposed to be mid forties if he survived.
His same generation is now on the go in TV world. It is his legacy she appears TV show frequently.
Sonne Lagoon
I now live off Seto Inland Sea. The wave is very stable. There's a lagoon from twenty minutes walk of my home, called Sonne Lagoon. It is rare two days off so I went there. Like the first time I visited on the 27th of August nobody was there. It was different from the last visit, the shinning from the lagoon was not so strong.
There are many good lagoons off the coast of Japan, all are protected under the Ramsar treaty.
At a platform
A perfect number
In a real world 6 is called a perfect number since it is divided by 2, 3 an 6.
7 is not a perfect number of course but in Bible it is regarded as a perfect number.
Perfect number in a real world is not perfect in ethereal world, that proves it a place nowhere.
Memory of condom
15 year old girl and boy were walking on their way home after they finish a cram school. It was already dark after 8 o'clock.
We both stopped in front of the vending machine. She asked what this is. I replied it's condom. She grinned.
Later she became a medical doctor and got married. She had three kids, living in Tokyo. She must have used it with another guy.
Right & duty
Someone said in a TV drama that no one has a right to take someone's life. But in reality many people take someone's life. How do we explain that?
No one has a right to take somone's life but there is some time some one has to take someone's life.
It must be permissible if it's a duty to take someone's life.
Smoker's image in cinema
One fugitive was hiding in a warehouse. He started smoking there. One criminal investigator fires a gun without trying to aim at him. The fugitive was hit by a bullet since it was heat censored.
One criminal investigator arrived at the site a crime was committed. He started smoking there. A smoke censor at the ceiling started detecting it and sprinkled water. Investigators had to evacuate from the site. A criminal was able to flee from there.
The criminal investigator concluded the fugitive must have died when he saw a part of clothes the fugitive wore. The clothes were deliberately cast in an attempt to have them believe he must have died.
Smoker tend to die before the drama ends. Smoker investigators often die before the drama ends and in the last scene of the French connection, at a harbour a drug dealer started smoking some time after he went on board, where he was hit.

'i mode'
iMac, iPod, iphone...there are many 'i's in digital world. All are popular and successful. But I think few know the first one that used the term 'i' in front of some computer product is 'i mode'.
By the way where's ATARI right now? The company was famous when I was a graduate student in mid 80's.
Bipartisanship & Cohabitation
Japan's Prime minister resigned. He had once proposed to his counterpart - leader of the main opposition party to cohabit in the same cabinet. His counterpart declined as a matter of course.
I can't assert whether his attempt was good though in general bipartisanship is effective in some areas as defence, humanitarian issues, but it's not always necessary in various other issues that relate to our ordinary daily life.
Final responsibility
Tsutomu Miyazaki, arrested for allegation of little girl abduction and murder, was hung to death on the 7th of June. He committed his crime in 1987, so it was long ago.
Yasuaki Uwabe sentenced to death finally at the supreme court. He killed 5 people at the local station in 1999. He will be hung sooner or later.
Both two are recognised as mentally insane or similar, yet court admitted that does not affect to their ability to be responsible.
Insanity won't be a reason for them to be acquitted. I think this is the current in recent judiciary.
Last smile
I met her in the station I always use. It is a local station so I started talking to her in a very casual way. But she didn't want to talk to me. It was just one time we had a word. It seemed she didn't like to talk to me any more so I stopped trying to get access to her, but there was a public station and I needed to use it one time in a week always on Saturdays to go to part time job at some time past 9. So I always see her around 9 o'clock every Saturday.
I knew it was in last October when I talked to her first and last time.
I found her wearing a marriage ring after that, which was also another reason I stopped talking to her. But we are forced to see one another always on Saturdays since we were using the same train at the same time. I start working at 10 and so does she. And we had several occasions to be near in the station and a train.
On the 15th of March this year I was questioned by two men - railway policemen.
They say she is upset because I am always with her in a train and a station.
This was not a criminal investigation but it was I who got upset.
I promised them not to get access to her any more intentionally from then on. I started using another train twenty minutes earlier. It lasted two or three months.
I tried using the train I used to use after three months. She was not there. Now I use the train I used to. She must have stopped using the train or changed her residence.
I didn't have any chance to ask even her name.
Her one shoe was taken off at the staircase when she was walking in front of me on the day I was questioned and she gave me the mysterious smile when I saw her in a station we always got off.
It was her 'Last smile' thinking back from later on. It turned to a cruel moment.
Hand phase
Life line, fate line..I found strange words in the lyrics of 'Last smile'. I got curious about so-called 'hand phase'. This is mainly used to predict someone's future.
Talking to a hand phase, I recall my cousin.
He didn't come to my wedding ceremony more than ten years ago. I got married to some woman at age 34. At that occasion, I heard from other relatives that he was already dead. He was two years junior to me, so he must have died in his twenties or early thirties.
As my bio suggests I had been always leaving best results in my schools. My evaluation was always 5 or most excellent from 5 stage evaluations in almost all subjects except for a physical education. On the other hand my cousin was always 1 or 2. He was a poor performance pupil.
I'm not sure when but one day I had a chance to see his hand phase in a playful manner. His was something like an explosion of bomb. His didn't show any particular lines.
Orthodontics
My wife showed me her albums, in which she collects tens of old photos taken in her school days. She was young, needless to say, but she was not only immature. She was ugly.
We used to have a girl who was always a centre of our concern, we have one or two very pretty girls in a class. She was not a kind of person. She was as if always putting a mouth piece in her mouth. She had a couple of irregular teeth, including canines at both sides of her inside lips. She looked in short a gorilla or rather an oran ootang.
But now her mouth is good shape, her front teeth are all tidily arranged. What's happened?
I asked her whether she corrected her teeth, and she said yes. She said it took one year to correct the teeth. Her teeth are now well arranged with the exception of her back four teeth, all are coated in a metal, not a plastic enamel. She said she couldn't afford for them all.
From the third party position, I think she is a fairly pretty woman. We met one another in our mid forties. I wouldn't start talking to her if she had had bad teeth.
Orthodontics is said to be the very first step of so-called cosmetic surgery. Making a nose good shape and upper eyelids two folded are the next step. Chiseling bones of jaws, etc are the third step.
Her eyelids were unfolded, then I asked whether she had her eyelids cosmetic surgery, she said, her eyelids got naturally two folded as she grew up.
We used to have a TV programme called ' Beauty coliseum ' One woman was born to be devastatingly ugly turned to an extremely pretty woman after spending 60,000 US dollars experimentally for a TV project. Of course her sponsors were well known cosmetic surgeons.
She has been always very generous and I wondered a pretty woman is often hubristic, and it had been my question why she was not so.
Probably a woman's appearances and characters not related, but I think I found a very good one from the bottom of my heart.
Aside from that, I asked her when she went to dentist to correct her teeth. Then she replied. 'It was when Yuki was 3 year old, so it was 16 years ago. She is now 48 so she went to dentist at age 32. I asked her again. 'Did your life change after you corrected your teeth?' 'Yes, to the bad phase.' She divorced at age 36. Is she referring to her divorce? I guessed so.
We are in love for 2 year and 3 months. I couldn't say she is lucky because we had love. Because certainly we are in love but that does not guarantee her rest of life. We are not legally wife and husband. We are merely cohabitants.
It is hard to get married to a woman. Because it involves economic matter.
She spent 30 to 50 US dollars each time she visited dental office. It was one time in a week and it lasted 1 year. She must have spent 2,000 to 2,500 US dollars.
I want her to change her metal covered back teeth to ceramics. It must cost $2,800. A piece of ceramic costs $700. I want to spend money for her correction, though I can't marry her.
Her daughter started working last year. She rent her apartment, bought a car. The third big buy was her teeth. She also changed her teeth from metal to ceramics. Useful spend.
Thomas More & a matter of conscience
One day young apprentice paid a visit to Thomas More, asking to find a good job. The man had studied law and seeking for a judicial job. More introduced him a seat of a lower court, adding not to forget ideal.
Time has passed. Thomas More was standing in a trial at a supreme court, waiting for a final judge whether he was guilty of high treason. He didn't admit a divorce of King and a church of England.
He was guilty. Final judge was made by a man More took care of the position of court at first.
His Utopia means nowhere. It is hard for us to live in accordance with our conscience as More's.
